Our mission is to lead the sustainable development of a viable, consumer focused agri-food sector and to contribute to rural economy and society. We have a passion to enable 21st century agriculture and food systems to feed the world's rapidly increasing population using an
agricultural system that is sustainable, benevolent, and beneficial, and our aim is to carry the excitement of our research into our teaching and inspire the next generation toward a clean, green, and resilient world for all.
The Department of Agriculture & Food was established in 2014, and is the focus of teaching,learning and research in agriculture, fisheries, food science, and food safety and quality in the field of animal production. Our research team also has research partners at the University of
Tehran, the University of Science, Malaysia (USM), the Islamic Azad University (IAU), the Payame Noor University (PUN), the University of Missouri–Columbia (MU), the Central Connecticut State University (CCSU), the National Association of Biology Teachers (NABT), the Australian Cotton Research and Development Corporation (CRDC), Australian Oilseeds Federation(AOF), Guilan Research Center for Agricultural and Natural Resources, Dr. Dadman Caviar Fish International Research Institute, the American V-King Scientific Publishing, and the
International Academy Of Arts, Science & Technology (Turkey).
We offer degrees in Animal Production, Fisheries, Food Science and Technology, Food Safety and Quality in the field of Animal Protection.
